Machine parts materials industry has an effect on derivative induction demand in demand for finished product, and it has the linkage effects that is close with finished product industry. Because technical development of machine parts•materials is connected by competitive power strengthening of finished product that is produced in various industry field, we can say that social usefulness that can acquire through technical development is high. Specially, Machine parts․materials industry is the specialization and growing industry of Busan. Busan Metropolitan City is inclining various effort to rear machine parts•materials industry by strategic industry in new job creation and industry upbringing dimension for high added value creation through Area Reform Development Five-Year Plan, 10 Strategic Industry Upbringing Master Plan, World-Wide City Busan 2010 Action Plans etc..
Therefore, Busan parts•materials industry needs preparation about the training, supply and demand of manpower for change the industrial structure that is technology intensive, high function and high added value industry in past labor-intensive, low added value industry. In this paper, we investigate the tendency of Busan parts materials industry, the present condition of manpower supply and their practical use, which intend to suggest the specific manpower training plan on the basis of its problem deduction.

기계부품소재 산업은 완제품에 대한 수요에서 파생되는 유발수요의 효과를 가지며, 완제품산업과의 밀접한 연관효과를 가지고 있다. 기계부품의 기술개발은 다양한 산업분야에서 생산되는 완제품의 경쟁력 강화로 이어지기 때문에 기술개발을 통해 얻을 수 있는 사회적 효용이 크다고 할 수 있다. 특히, 부산지역의 기계부품소재 산업은 부산의 특화 산업인 동시에 성장선도 산업이다. 부산 광역시는 새로운 고용창출과 고부가가치 창출을 위한 산업육성 차원에서 지역혁신 발전 5개년 계획, 10대 전략산업 육성 마스터플랜(안), 세계도시 부산 2010 실행계획 등을 통해 기계부품 소 재산업을 전략적 산업으로 육성하기 위해 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 따라서 부산 기계부품소재 산업이 종래의 노동집약, 저부가가치 산업구조 중심에서 기술집약, 고기능․고부가가치 산업구조 중심으로의 변화를 위한 인력 양성과 수급에 대한 대비가 필요하다. 또한, 기계부품소재 산업은 단기간에 경쟁력 확보가 어려운 산업적 특성으로 장기간에 걸친 지속적인 기술개발, 설비투자와 더불어 산업인력 양성투자가 중․장기적으로 이루어질 수 있는 지속적인 사업육성과 인력양성 체계가 정착될 수 있도록 대비하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 부산 기계부품소재 산업의 동향과 산업인력의 배출 및 활용 실태를 고찰하고, 각각의 문제점 도출을 토대로, 구체적인 인력양성 방안을 제안하고자 한다.
