A contract dispute is an inevitable factor in construction project. Because of this dispute, many contract parties may have difficulties escaping a lot of contract risks. The best choice is to solve the risks without conflict. Some matters go beyond the ability of Construction Manager or Supervisor, and these may reach the limit of patience. Recently some Owner are introducing Dispute Review Board(DRB), a type of ADR. To universally introduce DRB, the impartiality of DRB participants should be verified. Therefore the concept of the neutrality in Mediation were studied, and Mediation described in the Framework Act on the Construction Industry were analyzed, and the manner to guarantee the neutrality of DRB participants were suggested in this study.
