Historically the basic purpose of the building was to protect people from the weather and the external hazards. Especially, building skin is the physical architectural device which marks the boundary between external environment and internal environment. This study is about the skin design of the solar powered buildings, which provide the energy to buildings. I would like to suggest an applicable design technique, considering both solar powered building and building skin system. Through the process, this study is to classify solar powered building skin technologies and applications, and to grasp the design characteristics. Also suggest application techniques to be used as basic data for the decision of appropriate skin type in designing
single building.
