This study aims to find the planning characteristics of the shop-type and the size of the commercial facilities at apartment housing estates in chung-ju city. The contents of this research consists of two main parts. The first part is to analyze the correlation between the development conditions and the shop-type of the commercial facilities. The second part is to analyze the planning patterns of the size of the commercial facilities, based on the development site size, the
