The purpose of this study is to prove that the cognition tendencies of users on symbolism in church architecture, by using not the analysing user group's response-language vocabulary based on tests-methods to show about user preference, but by the analyzing user group's natural-language vocabulary on the basis of corpus linguistics. The result of study, user's natural-language vocabulary can categorized to 12-classes(architectural symbol element, furniture symbol element, architectural element, pattern, painting & sculpture, material, letters, colors, lighting, sense, synthetic image, vestries) and be analysed to prove the cognition tendencies of church users. This study is also aim to help architect to give understanding about user's cognition tendencies of symbolism on the design process of church architecture.
