clinics and analyzing the preference and evaluation of design image by adjective. 15 cases were
selected by literature review and 83 Korean and Chinese undergraduate and graduate students
were participated in questionnaire survey. The results revealed that 1)the urban, westernized,
unified design images were popular in ophthalmic clinics; 2)people showed a strong preference in westernized, urban, feminine, and open images; 3)the reason for their preference were related
with comfortable feeling and color; 4)Koreans and Chines showed similarities in preference, but
there were several differences between the two groups in image evaluation. The findings can be
used as a basic guideline for future interior design of ophthalmic clinics.
