The purpose of this study is to characterize the current utilization and problems of public spaces in the residential areas of the mixed-use residential buildings less than 300 households in the Busan City, and to provide fundamental database that can be used in the planning of public spaces. Nine mixed-use residential buildings constructed after 2000 were selected and investigated through personal interviews, and the result was analyzed using the SPSS (ver. 12.0)
program.
Result shows that complementary measures in the regal and institutional level, and establishment and operation planning of resident-oriented public spaces are required differently in the cases of the general apartment complexes.
