본 연구는 간호역사 교육 전과 후 간호대학생의 전문직 정체성 차이를 비교하기 위해 실시된 단일군 사전· 사후 설계 연구이다. 간호학과 1학년 학생 50명을 대상으로 총 7시간의 간호역사교육을 실시하였고, 간호역사 교 육 전과 후 전문직 정체성에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술적 통계와 paired t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 간호 역사 교육 전 전문직 정체성의 평균 점수는 3.12점(±0.61), 교육 후 평균 점수는 3.55 점(±0.75)으로 나타났으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=-2.82, p=.007). 따라서 간호대학생의 전문직 정 체성 확립을 위해서는 간호역사 교육의 강화와 내실화가 필요하다. 이를 근거로 향후 대조군을 확보하여 간호역사 교육이 전문직 정체성에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 연구의 시행을 제언한다.

This study, a single-group pretest-posttest design, was conducted to compare differences in professional identity before and after a nursing history education in nursing students. Fifty first-year nursing students participated in a seven-hour nursing history education and completed a survey on their professional identity before and after the program. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired t-tests. As a result, the mean score on professional identity before nursing history education was 3.12(±0.61), and the mean score after the education was 3.55(±0.75) with a statistically significant difference (t=-2.82, p=.007). In conclusion, strengthening and enhancing nursing history education is necessary to foster professional identity in nursing students. Therefore it is necessary to conduct future research to verify the impact of nursing history education on professional identity using a control group.
