This study aims to analyze a case of constructing generative AI training data for digital assetization and industrial utilization of Korean traditional patterns in response to the era of hyper-scale artificial intelligence (AI), and to propose strategies for its utilization in the digital cultural content industry. Based on the empirical case of the 「Korean Traditional Pattern Data Establishment Project」 conducted by Korea Heritage Agency in 2024, selected as an Exploratory Case Study, the full process of data collection, refinement, processing, and quality control is examined. Also, we structuralize practical outcomes, and suggest concrete methodologies and potential applications. In particular, the study reviews classification systems by form, usage, and historical period, along with bilingual (Korean-English) image captioning techniques. It further explores application possibilities in cultural industries such as games, metaverse, digital art, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), while proposing strategies for public data release and data ecosystem development. This analysis is expected to make an empirical contribution to promoting the digital utilization of Korean traditional cultural heritage while preserving its cultural identity and originality.
