본 논문은 다문화 아동의 학업중단 위험요인을 생활 및 태도와 친구 및 선후배 요인으로 구분하여 진로 태도 결정성, 진로준비 역량, 상급학교 진학준비도 간의 구조적 관계를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국 청소년정책연구원의 2023 다문화청소년 종단연구 데이터를 활용하여 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 25.0 프로그램으로 분 석하였다. 연구변인들 간의 상관관계와 구조방정식으로 알아보았고, 95% 신뢰구간에서 부트스트랩으로 매개효과를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과를 보면, 첫째 상급학교 진학준비도 요인을 중심으로 관계를 보면, 학업중단 위험요인의 생활 및 태도, 친구 및 선후배와는 부적관계로 나타났다. 진로태도 결정성, 진로준비 역량과 하위요인 간의 통계적 으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 학업중단 요인의 생활 및 태도는 상급학교 진학준비도와 관련성 이 없는 것이 확인되었다. 반면, ‘진로태도 결정성→진로준비 역량→상급학교 진학준비’ 경로에서만 통계적으로 유 의미한 영향을 미친다는 점에서 진로준비 역량의 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, ‘학업중단 위험요인의 친구 및 선후 배→진로준비 역량→상급학교 진학준비도’ 경로와 ‘진로태도 결정성→진로준비 역량→상급학교 진학준비도’ 경로에 서만 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미친다는 점에서 진로준비 역량의 완전매개 효과가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 다문화 아동의 학업중단 위험을 완화하고 진로발달을 효과적으로 지원하기 위해서는, 생활 및 태도뿐만 아니 라 또래 관계와 같은 사회적 맥락을 고려한 맞춤형 진로개입이 필요하며, 특히 진로준비 역량을 체계적으로 강화 하는 것이 상급학교 진학에 실질적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 핵심 요소임을 시사한다.

This study aims to investigate the structural relationships among career attitude determination, career preparation competency, and readiness for educational transition by classifying the risk factors for school dropout among multicultural children into life and attitude factors,as well as peer and senior-junior. To this end, data from the 2023 Multicultural Youth Panel Study conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute of Korea were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 25.0. The correlations among the study variables and their structural relationships were examined using structural equation modeling (SEM), and the mediating effects were analyzed through bootstrapping within a 95% confidence interval. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, with respect to readiness for educational transition, the life and attitude dimensions of school dropout risk Factors as well as relationships with peers and senior–junior students showed significant negative correlations. In contrast, career attitude determination and career preparation competence demonstrated statistically significant positive correlations with their respective subcomponents. Second, it was confirmed that lifeand attitudesrelated to school dropout risk factors were not associated with readiness for educational transition. In contrast, the path of career attitude determination → career preparation competency → readiness for educational transition showed a statistically significant effect, indicating a mediating role of career preparation competency. Third, it was found that only the path of “peer and senior-junior on school dropout risk factors → career preparation competency → readiness for educational transition” and the path of “career attitude determination → career preparation competency → readiness for educational transition” showed statistically significant effects, indicating a full mediating effect of career preparation competency. Based on these findings, tailored career interventions are essential for effectively reducing the risk of school dropout among multicultural children and supporting their career development. These interventions should address life skills and attitudes, as well as social contexts, including peer relationships. In particular, systematically enhancing career preparation competencies is a crucial factor that can positively influence a successful transition to the next level of education.
