Managing wait times is a critical challenge in service industries, directly affecting customer satisfaction and revenue. Virtual queue services have emerged as a strategic solution, enabling businesses to manage queues efficiently through online platforms and mobile applications. Despite increasing adoption, the broader impact on individual customers and local businesses remains underexplored. This study addresses that gap by examining the spillover effects of virtual queue services on customer engagement and local business performance. Using advanced econometric models, the research investigates how these services influence customer decisions to engage with nearby businesses. Preliminary results empirically demonstrate the significant role of virtual queues in boosting local business activity. The findings offer a deeper understanding of how technology and wait time management intersect with local economic dynamics. This research provides valuable insights for local businesses, policymakers aiming to foster vibrant commercial ecosystems, and practitioners seeking to enhance operational efficiency through digital innovation.
