As a core mechanism of investment returns in capital markets, cash dividend policies not only directly affect shareholder wealth but also serve as an important reflection of corporate financial decision-making and governance effectiveness. The determinants of cash dividends have been a key research focus among scholars. This study examines how financing constraints influence cash dividend policies. Using panel data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies during 2021-2023, three effects of financing constraints on cash dividend policies are empirically tested. The findings reveal that: (1) The degree of financing constraints significantly suppresses both the willingness and level of cash dividend payments. (2) Financing constraints exacerbate the volatility of cash dividends. (3) Firms' free cash flow negatively moderates the impact of financing constraints on dividend stability. This study provides new theoretical insights into the constraints shaping corporate dividend policies in transitional economies.

자본시장에서 투자 수익의 핵심 메커니즘으로서 현금배당 정책은 주주 부문에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐 만 아니라 기업의 재무 의사결정과 지배구조 효율성을 반영하는 중요한 지표이다. 현금배당 영향요인 분석은 다수 학자의 연구 주제이며, 본 연 구는 자금제약이 현금배당정책에 미치는 영향을 고찰한다. 2021-2023년 상하이·심천 A주 상장사 패널 데이터를 활용하여 기업의 자금제약 수준이 현금배당 정책에 미치는 세가지 효과를 실증 분석하 였다. 연구 결과: (1) 자금제약 정도가 현금배당 의지와 지급 수준을 억제하는 것으로 나타났다. (2) 자금제약이 현금배당 변동성을 심화시킨다. (3) 기업의 자유현금흐름은 자금제약이 현금배당 안정성에 미치는 영향을 부(-)의 방향으로 조절하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 전환기 경제 환경에서 기업의 배당 정책을 이해하는 데 새로운 이론적 시각을 제시한다.
