본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 희망 출산의 영향요인을 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2024년 11월 1일에서 12월 10일까지 설문조사는 경기도 지역 K대학, 충청도 지역 N대학, 전북특별자치도 지역 J대학 3곳의 일본어 수강생 300명을 모집단으로 했다. 실증분석에 있어서 “출산을 희망하는 자녀 수”와 관련된 변수를 탐색하기 위해 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 자가 거주일 경우에는 희망 자녀 수가 높은 상관관계가 확인되었다. 이는 자가 거주가 출산율에 높은 영향요인이 되고 있음을 시사한다. 둘째, 대학생의 “희망 자녀 수” 결정요인에 대한 다중 회귀분석 결과, 저학년일수록, 부모와 비슷한 가정을 희망할수록, 희망하는 결혼 시기가 멀어질수록, 장래에 대해 긍 정적으로 전망할수록, ‘희망 자녀 수’가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학교 저학년의 대학생들에게 긍정적인 결혼 및 출산 인식을 제고할 수 있는 교육과 홍보가 필요하며, 정부적 차원의 체계적 가이드라인 제시와 지원도 요구된다.

The purpose of the study is to identify the factors influencing the desired number of children among university students. The survey was conducted from November 1 to December 10, 2024, with 300 Japanese language students from K University in Gyeonggi-do, N University in Chungcheong-do, and J University in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province. Correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted to explore variables related to the “desired number of children.” As a result of the analysis, first, in the case of home ownership, a high correlation was confirmed with the number of children desired. This suggests that home ownership is a significant factor influencing the birth rate. Second, as a result of multiple regression analysis on the determinants of the “number of children desired” of university students, the “number of children desired” was higher in lower grades, in families similar to their parents, in the distant future, and in the more positive outlook they had on the future. Therefore, education and promotion for positive marriage and childbirth awareness among college students in their first year of university are necessary, and the government's systematic guidelines and support are also required.
