The ‘Crypto Asset User Protection Act,’ which goes into effect in July 2024, needs a second stage of legislation and enforcement ordinance. This study on investor characteristics, obstacles, and promotions of crypto assets is important in establishing the laws and policies more appropriate for the Korea market. Starting with the LUNA-Terra incident and the suspicion of Coin gate by a member of the main opposition party, unfair perceptions of crypto assets are widespread due to unfair transactions in the absence of specific regulations. Preventing unfair transactions based on accurate exploration leads to Korea’s competitiveness. This study utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research. Through quantitative research, the crypto asset investment environment was presented in terms of socio-demographic, related professional education, economics, and investment characteristics. Through qualitative research, 27 obstacles to crypto asset investment and 13 subcategories were identified. It is significant in that it was classified into 7 categories.
