Knime, a free visual programming tool, is a versatile, open-source software that runs on both Windows and Mac platforms, catering to business analytics. It offers its desktop version for free, while the server version incurs a fee. This accessibility makes Knime an excellent choice for business students and professionals eager to dive into business analytics without the daunting task of mastering a programming language. With Knime, users can effortlessly prepare data and employ machine learning algorithms, requiring little to no coding. Given that most business managers and students are just casual users of advanced analytics, Knime serves as an accessible tool for them. This presentation shares our experiences in using Knime to teach business analytics related topics to business students in a business school, focusing on data preparation step (e.g., data cleaning and transformation) of business analytics.
