본고는 일본에서의 헌법 개정 논의를 사상사적으로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기존연구들이 주로 일본의 개헌의 가능성을 다루고 있다면 본고는 헌법 개 정이 현실적으로 어떤 문제가 있는지를 너머 헌법과 관련한 서사나 이야기에서 드러나는 헤이세이 시기 정치적 무의식 내지 욕망을 살펴본다. 그 중에서 본고에 서 다루고자 하는 인물은 아즈마 히로키(東浩紀)다. 헤이세이 시기 일본의 비평씬 을 대표하는 아즈마는 호헌과 개헌의 단순한 이분법을 넘어 헌법을 사유하는 새로 운 방식을 제시한다. 본고는 아즈마의 <헌법 2.0>을 검토함으로써 헤이세이 시기 의 ‘조금 별난 개헌파’, ‘메타 개헌파’로서 그가 제시하는 헌법론을 살펴본다. 이는 단순히 아즈마의 논의에 한정하는 것이 아닌 헤이세이 시기 비평가 내지 사상가들이 공유하고 있는 문제의식에 기반한다. 쇼와적 의미의 보수와 혁신의 구도에서 벗어난다는 점에서, 그의 논의는 낙천적 진보주의나 피비린내나는 현실 주의도 아닌 방식으로 세계를 바라보게 된다. 이는 글로벌리즘과 내셔널리즘, 직 접민주주의와 숙의민주주의, 보수와 리버럴이 결합된 이중구조 속에서 새로운 정 치적 상황에 대한 가능성의 모색이었다.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the discussion on constitutional amendment in Heisei Japan. Existing studies mainly deal with the possibility of constitutional amendment in Japan, this paper examines the political unconsciousness or desire in narratives and stories related to the constitution during the Heisei period . Among them, the person I want to deal with in this paper is Hiroki Azuma(東浩紀) who is Japanese cultural critic, novelist, and philosopher. Azuma, who represents the scene of criticism in Heisei Japan, presents a new way of thinking about the constitution beyond the simple dichotomy between pros and cons of constitutional amendment. By reviewing his “Constitution 2.0”, this paper examines the politital thought during the Heisei period. This is not just limited to Azuma's discussion, but also shared by critics and thinkers during the Heisei period. They deviate from the structure of conservatism and innovation in the Showa Japan. In other words, they look at the world in a way that is nerither optimistic liberalism nor bloody realism. This was a search for possibilities of double-layer structure that combines globalism and nationalism, direct democracy and deliberative democracy, and conservatism and liberalism.
