The purpose of this study is to understand in depth the impact of the Olympics on sports tourism. In addition, we would like to find out what factors of the Olympics help tourists improve their satisfaction with sports tourism. A total of 14 interviewees participated in the interviews for this study. In summary, it was found that tourists visiting the Olympic venues for sports tourism wanted to watch the athletes' games in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. In addition, it was found that they wanted to purchase reasonably priced tickets for the games and considered it important to stay in comfortable accommodations. In addition, when sports tourists visit the Olympic venue after the Olympics, they prefer to remember the Olympics in facilities such as large and well-managed parks or museums. As such, satisfying the needs of sports tourists is important for the regional economic development of the Olympic venue. This is because many sports tourists around the world have a huge impact on the economy of the region through continuous consumption activities. Meanwhile, the process of successfully hosting and preparing for the Olympics is important. However, it is more important to induce more sports tourists to visit by successfully hosting and continuously managing the Olympics. It is necessary to recognize the positive and negative effects of the Olympics suggested by this study and to develop and maintain Olympic tourist attractions that can continue to contribute to regional economic development.
