본 연구는 만성목뼈통증환자를 대상으로 제7목뼈의 관절가동술이 목뼈부위의 통증, 목뼈의 굽힘과 폄에 대한 관절가동범위, 경부장애지수(NDI) 그리고 환측손의 파악력에 미치는 영향에 대해 확인하고자 실시하였다. 연 구결과 목의 통증감소, 목뼈의 굽힘과 폄의 관절가동범위증가, NDI 개선은 실험군과 대조군 모두 유의한 차이가 있었으나(p<0.05), 환측손의 파악력 증가는 실험군에서만 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 통증, 목뼈의 굽힘과 폄 의 관절절가동범위, NDI, 환측손 파악력의 변화에서 실험군과 대조군은 중재 전은 유의한 차이가 없으나 중재 후 는 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 결론적으로 만성목뼈통증환자에게 제7목뼈의 관절가동술은 통증감소, 목뼈의 굽 힘과 폄의 가동범위개선, NDI개선 및 환측손의 파악력증가에 효과가 있었다.

This study was to investigate the effect of the 7th cervical joint mobilization on the pain, ROM(Range Of Motion) of cervical flexion and extension, NDI(Neck Disbility Index) and the grip strength of the affected side in chronic neck pain patients. The results of the study are as follows; The experimental group and the control group was a significant difference between pre and post intervention, but the increase in the grip strength of the affected hand was significant only in the experimental group(p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the groups of pain, ROM, NDI, and hand grip strength before intervention, but there was a significant difference after intervention(p<0.05). The 7th cervical joint mobilization was effective in reducing pain, improving the range of motion of cervical flexion and extension, improving the NDI, and increasing the grip strength in affected side for the patients with chronic neck pain.
