다문화 시대로의 변화에 따라 보육교사에게 새롭게 요구되고 있는 다문화 역량을 측정하기 위한 척도의 필요성이 부각되고 있다. 이렇게 보육교사의 다문화 역량을 보다 잘 측정할 수 있는 타당성 있는 척도 개발의 필 요성이 부각되는 시대 상황적 요구에 따라 보육교사의 다문화 역량 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것에 본 연구의 목적을 둔다. 결론적으로 본 논문에서 개발한 보육교사의 다문화 역량 척도는 검증결과 타당한 것 으로 확인되었으며, 보육교사의 다문화 역량을 보다 객관적이고 명확하게 측정할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연 구에서 개발된 보육교사 역량 척도는 실무적으로 보육교사들이 스스로 자신의 전문성을 점검하고 다문화 영유아 들을 보육, 교육하는 데 도움을 주는 평가도구로 사용할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 보육교사의 양성 및 다문화 역량 강화를 위한 교육이나 연수 프로그램의 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

In accordance with the change to the multicultural era, the need for a scale to measure the multicultural competency newly required of childcare teachers is emerging. The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a scale that can measure childcare teachers' multicultural competence in accordance with the situational demands of the times when the need for development of a valid scale that can better measure childcare teachers' multicultural competence is highlighted. In conclusion, the multicultural competency scale of childcare teachers developed in this paper was confirmed to be valid as a result of verification, and it was found that the multicultural competency of childcare teachers could be measured more objectively and clearly. The childcare teacher competency scale developed in this study can be practically used as an evaluation tool to help childcare teachers check their own expertise and care for and educate multicultural infants and toddlers. It is also expected to be used as basic data for the development of education or training programs to nurture childcare teachers and strengthen multicultural competence.
