이 연구는 메타분석을 통해 성격강점에 기반한 진로교육 프로그램의 평균 효과 크기와 조절변인에 따른 효과 크기를 분석하였다. 분석 대상 논문은 RISS에서 키워드 검색 결과에 PICOS와 PRISMA 모형 을 적용해 최종 분석 대상 논문을 선별하였다. 최종 분석 대상은 학위논문 24편과 학술지 논문 4편으 로 모두 28편이며, 포함된 효과 크기 수는 개인심리적 역량 21개, 진로발달 역량 31개, 학교생활 역량 9개로 모두 61개였다. CMA 2를 이용한 효과 크기의 분석 결과, 성격강점 기반 진로교육 프로그램의 효과 크기는 진로발 달 역량(g=1.244), 학교생활 역량(g=.974), 개인심리적 역량(g=.829)의 순서였으며, 성격강점 기반 진로 교육 프로그램은 세 영역에서 모두 큰 효과 크기를 지니는 것으로 확인되었다. 조절효과는 개인심리적 역량과 진로발달 역량에서만 확인되었다. 출간오류와 민감성 분석을 통해 하위영역별로 성격강점 기반 진로교육 프로그램이 큰 효과 크기에 근접하는 경향이 있지만, 질적 수준이 높은 실험연구 결과가 더 추가되어야 할 필요성도 동시에 확인되었다. 메타분석 결과와 논의를 토대로 학교에서 진로교육의 구성 및 실천을 위해 후속연구에서 다루어야 할 방향과 과제를 제안하였다.

This study analyzed the average effect size of the career education program based on personality strength and the effect size according to the moderating variables through meta-analysis. The articles to be analyzed were obtained through keyword search in RISS. The final analysis target was selected by applying the PICOS and PRISMA models. The subjects of meta-analysis were 28 dissertations, 24 degree-dissertations, and 4 journal articles, and the number of effect sizes included was 61, 21 related to self-understanding, 31 related to career development, and 9 related to school life. As a result of analyzing the effect size using CMA 2, the effect size of the character-strength based career education program was a variable related to career development (g=1.244) → a variable related to school life (g=.974) → a variable related to self-understanding (g=.829) was the order. It was confirmed that the character-strength based career education program had a large effect size in all three areas. The moderating effect was confirmed only in the variables related to self-understanding and the variables related to career development. Through the publication error and sensitivity analysis, character-strength based career education programs tended to approach a large effect size for each sub-domain, but it was also confirmed that more high-quality experimental research results should be added in the future. Based on the meta-analysis results and discussion, the directions for follow-up research were suggested in relation to the composition and practice of career education in school
