오늘날 기술이 발전함에 따라 자율주행차 도입을 앞두고 자율주행 버스에 관한 연구도 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 반면 자율주행 버스는 탑승자들의 편의성과 불안감이 극명하게 교차할 것이라 예상되며, 상용화에 앞서 다양한 의견들이 존재한다. 본 연구는 선행 연구를 통해 포항시 DRT 기반으로 자율주행 버스 도입시의 파급효과를 분석한다. 포항시에서 진행한 DRT 파일럿 프로젝트 “TAP!”을 통해 DRT기반의 자율주행 버스 도입시의 파급효과를 미리 경험해볼 수 있었다. 이 사례를 분석한 결과 공영버스 구입, 운행손실금, 대기시간, 도보시간, 통행시간 절감 편익으로 약 1456백만원이 산출되었다. 경제성 분석 결과 B/C=12.7, NPV=584백만원임을 파악해보았다.

With today's emerging development of technology, research on autonomous buses is being actively conducted ahead of the introduction of autonomous vehicles. However, autonomous buses are expected to bring about the dilemma of passenger convenience versus passenger anxiety on safety. Such matters are crucial and should be taken into account before commercialization. This study analyzes the ripple effect of the introduction of autonomous buses based on the DRT in Pohang with previous studies. Through the DRT pilot project "TAP!" conducted by Pohang City, it is able to experience the ripple effect of the introduction of DRT-based autonomous buses. As a result of analyzing this case, about 1456 million won was calculated as a benefit of purchasing public buses, operating losses, waiting time, walking time, and travel time reduction. As a result of the economic analysis, it was that B/C = 12.7 and NPV = 584 million won.
