초등학교 교육과정에서 역사교육은 축약된 내용으로 맥락없이 암기 위주의 내용이 되기 쉽다. 이에 게이미피케 이션을 활용하여 학생들의 흥미를 높이고 참여율을 증진시킬 수 있다. 또한 전쟁, 학살, 재난, 비극적 사건을 주 제로 교훈을 찾는 여행을 다크투어리즘이라고 하며 이러한 내용은 우리 근현대사에서 많이 찾을 수 있다. 이러한 요소들을 바탕으로 다크투어리즘 주제를 중심으로 게이미피케이션을 활용한 초등학생의 역사지도방법을 연구했 다. 주제는 일제강점기, 6.25전쟁, 민주화 운동 등이 있으며 게임요소를 포함하여 피구형 게임, 방탈출형 게임, 보 드형 게임등을 제시했다. 학생들의 흥미를 높일 수 있지만 어두운 주제를 게임으로서 풀이했을 때 교훈 및 반성 적인 내용을 지도하기 어렵다는 제한점이 있었다.

In the elementary school curriculum, history education is abbreviated and tends to be memorization-oriented without context. Therefore, it is possible to increase students' interest and increase their participation rate by using gamification. In addition, the trip to find lessons on the subject of war, slaughter, disaster, and tragic events is called dark tourism, and these contents can be found a lot in our modern and contemporary history. Based on these factors, we studied the history guidance method of elementary school students using gamification, focusing on the theme of dark tourism. The topics include Japanese colonial era, the Korean War, and the pro-democracy movement, and presented dodgeball games, room escape games, and board games, including game elements. It can increase students' interest, but there was a limitation in that it was difficult to guide lessons and reflective content when interpreting dark topics as games.
