본 연구는 집단미술치료 방법을 활용한 부모교육 프로그램이 양육효능감과 정서적 역량을 향상시키는지 확인하고 정서적 측면에 대한 평가도구로서 그림검사(K-HTP, PPAT)의 활용 가능성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 유아기 자녀의 어머니 14명에게 주 1회 120 분씩 총 10회기의 집단미술치료 부모교육 프로그램을 실시하였다. 양육효능감 척도검사와 동적 집-나무-사람(K-HTP) 그림검사, 그리고 나무에서 사과 따는 사람(PPAT) 그림검사를 프로그 램 진행 전과 진행 후에 실시하고 양적, 질적 분석을 실시하여 결과를 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 연구 참여자들은 집단미술치료 부모교육 프로그램 참여를 통해 양육효능감이 높아졌고 그림검 사의 양적분석과 질적분석을 통해 안정감과 자아효능감, 문제해결력 등 정서적인 측면에서도 긍정적인 변화를 보여 전반적인 자녀 양육에 대한 역량이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 집단미 술치료 방법을 활용한 부모교육의 효과를 검증하는 연구가 미흡한 상황에서 집단미술치료 부 모교육 프로그램이 어머니들의 양육에 대한 자신감과 정서적 측면에 효과가 있음을 확인하였 다는 사실과 부모교육 프로그램의 효과를 검증하는 도구로서 그림검사의 활용 가능성을 발견 하는 기초자료를 제공했다는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of the group art therapy parenting education program about parents’ nurturing self-efficacy and emotional competency and to examine the potential usability of drawing tests, such as K-HTP and PPAT, for measuring the emotional aspects of the participants. The participants were 14 women who had a child or children at the age between 4 and 5, and they participated in the 10 sessions of the group art therapy which was provided for 120 minutes once a week. The quantitative and qualitative data collection were conducted before and after the 10 sessions of the group art therapy to measure the participants' change in nurturing self-efficacy and emotional competency. The results indicated that the participants’ nurturing self-efficacy and emotional competency improved significantly after the program. The current study contributed to adding evidence of the group art therapy on the parents nurturing self-efficacy and emotional competency given the paucity of the literature on the effectiveness of parent education programs using group art therapy. In addition, the study also revealed that the drawing tests were worthwhile to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of group art therapy for parenting education.
