본 연구는 성인남녀의 생애주기별 주관적 체형 인식이 우울을 예측하는 정도를 확인하기 위하여, 제7기 1차년도(2016년) 국민건강영양조사자료를 활용하여 수행한 이차 분석 연구이다. 본 연구는 만 19세 이상의 한국 성인남녀 3,619명의 데이터를 분석했다. 자료분석에는 기술 통계, Bonferroni 사후, 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석의 방 법이 사용되었다. 인구통계학적 요인과 건강관련 요인을 혼란변수로 통제한 결과, 성인남녀의 생애주기별 주관적 체형 인식에 따른 우울 예측에서는 중년기(만 45∼64세) 남성에서만 주관적 체형 인식과 우울 사이에 통계적으로 유의한 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다(odds ratio 0.15, 95% CI 0.34∼0.62). 남성의 다른 생애주기 단계와 여성 의 모든 생애주기 단계에서는 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 추후 연구에서는 실제 체형에 따른 주관 적 체형 인식을 재분류하여 우울을 예측하는지에 대해 탐구해볼 것을 제언한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the prediction of depression according to body image perception across the life span of adult male and female in South Korea. This is a secondary data analysis study using data derived from the 7th (2016) Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Data of 3,619 Korean adults were analyzed. Descriptive statistics, Bonferroni post-hoc, multiple logistic regression were used for data analysis. After controlled for demographic factors and health related factors as confounding variables, there was a statistically significant association between between body image perception with depression only in middle-aged (45-64 years old) male (odds ratio 0.15, 95% CI 0.34∼0.62). There were no statistically significant results in all other life span for male and all life span for female.
