The abstract should be clear, descriptive and no longer than 150 words. Utilizing technology usually helps people to work effectively and efficiently, however, does not guarantee. In the process of learning and getting skilled with technology, people may feel burnout or such negative emotional state: technostress. We hypothesized and empirically tested that 3 technostress factors, technology-uncertainty, technology-complexity and workload affect burnout and further platform switching intention. An online questionnaire was designed and completed by 157 lodging business owners who actively use online platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Agoda. The result demonstrates that 3 technostress factors strongly affect burnout, and burnout affects switching intention. Academic implications for expanding the understanding of technostress in platform business industry are provided, and managerial implications for platform business companies are suggested.
