이 연구는 은유 분석 기법을 활용하여 예비 초등교사들의 인공지능에 대한 인식을 탐색하 기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 G 교육대학교에 재학 중인 167명의 학생을 대상으로 인공지 능 교육에 대한 은유를 분석하고 이를 통해 인공지능 교육의 방향성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이 연구의 예비 초등교사들은 인공지능 교육에 대하여 ‘발전 가능성’, ‘필수 요소’, ‘조력자 역할’, ‘교육의 변화’, ‘편리한 도구’ 등과 같은 긍정적인 은유 개념과 ‘양면적 성격’, ‘불확실성’ 등과 같은 부정적 은유 개념을 가지고 있음이 확인되었다. 교수․학습 이론, 교육 방법 등에 대한 예비교사들이 가진 신념은 교사들이 어떤 생각과 태도로 교육과정 실행에 임할 것인지에 대한 지표로 작용할 수 있다. 따라서 학교 교육의 현장에서 교육을 계획하고 실천하게 될 예비교사 들의 ‘인공지능 교육’에 대한 인식은 교원양성기관의 인공지능 교육 방향 설정을 위한 기초 자 료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

This study was conducted to explore the conceptual metaphor of pre-service elementary school teachers' artificial intelligence using metaphor analysis method. To this end, a metaphor analysis of artificial intelligence education was conducted for 167 students attending ‘G university of education’ to explore the direction of AI education. Pre-service elementary teachers in this study have positive metaphor concepts such as 'development potential', 'essential elements', 'assistant', ‘change of education’ and 'convenient tools' for AI education and negatives such as 'ambivalence' and 'uncertainty'. It was confirmed to have a conceptual metaphor. Pre-service teachers' beliefs about teaching and learning theory, teaching methods, etc. can serve as an indicator of what thoughts and attitudes teachers will put into practice. Therefore, the awareness of artificial intelligence education by prospective teachers who will plan and practice education in the field of school education may be a basic resource for establishing the direction of artificial intelligence education by teacher training institutions.
