이 연구는 우리나라 육상종목 활성화 방안을 탐색하기 위하여 신문기사에서 보도하고 있는 육상종목에 대한 이슈 를 파악하는 것이 목적이었다. 이 연구의 자료 수집을 위하여 국내 최대 포털사이트인 네이버 데이터베이스(DB)를 활용 하였다. 파이썬3를 활용하여 웹크롤링을 통하여 2010년부터 2019년까지 10년 동안 보도된 1600건의 신문기사를 수집 하였으며 1080개의 기사가 분석에 활용되었다. 토픽분석을 수행하기 위하여 넷마이너 4.33이 사용되었다. 이 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 육상종목의 신문기사 보도 건수는 연간 100회 미만이며 국제대회를 중심으로 편향되 어 보도된다. 둘째, 신문기사에서 나타나는 육상종목의 토픽별 관점은 상이하다. 셋째, 각 토픽별 주요 키워드를 통하여 육상종목의 활성화 방안을 탐색할 수 있었다. 이 연구 결과는 육상종목의 정책방향 설정 및 대안을 마련하기 위한 기초자료 로 활용될 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the topic of track and field areas using newspaper articles. To accomplish this goal, the data collected utilizing the Naver database, the largest portal site in Korea. By using Python 3, From the newspaper articles, 1600 data sets were collected, and 1080 of the data sets were used for analysis. In order to conduct a topic analysis, Netminer software 4.33. was used. The conclusions from this study are as follows. First, the number of newspaper articles reported on track and field events is less than 100 times per year. Second, the perspectives of each track and field item in newspaper articles are different. Third, it was possible to explore ways to revitalize athletics through the main keywords for each topic. The results of this study can be used as basic data for establishing policy directions and preparing for the development of track and field area.
