Using the translated text of Your Republic Is Calling You, a Korean novel, the paper studies the impact of the explicitation strategy between Korean SLT and Chinese TLT. This paper is an attempt to categorize explicitation in translation based on Klaudy's explicitation types. First, the paper explains what strategies are used in translating Korean literature into Chinse. To examine this question, the researcher conducted a text analysis using data extracted from Korean SLT and Chinese TLT based on Klaudy's explicitation types. The text analysis results find that the translator clearly reveals the meaning inherent in the original text and transfers the SLT’s implicit context into excessively explicit expressions. It is hoped that this paper might contribute to analyzing Korean-Chinese translation strategies and developing cooperation between target language translator and source language native.
