모국어 차이에 따른 번역 양상 비교 - 통번역대학원생의 한-일 번역을 중심으로 -
A comparative study of translation patterns between different L1 speakers : Focusing on translation learners’ translations from Korean to Japanese.

영어: In this study, to compare the translation patterns according to the differences in the mother tongue, the analysis was made on Korean-Japanese translations in the political and legal fields conducted by JNS Group (4 students) and KNS Group (7 students).The analysis showed that the JNS group was somewhat larger than the KNS group in the total number of characters in the translation, comma and average characters per sentence, and the ratio of characters between periods and punctuation to Chinese characters was insignificant. Also, in terms of ‘conservation’ of sentence and cultural elements, JNS Group and KNS Group adopted a ‘conservation’ strategy to a similar extent in terms of number of sentences, while JNS Group chose a relatively more ‘conservation’ strategy in translation of cultural centers. If Korean-Japanese translation professor understands these results, it is expected to be a clue to future class design.
