본 연구에서는 부적응적 완벽주의가 개인에게 부정적 정서(우울/불안)를 경험하도록 하는 기 저의 심리적 과정을 이해하기 위해 부적응적 완벽주의와 부정적 정서의 관계에서 성취관련 자기 불일치와 속박감이 매개효과를 나타내는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울 및 경 기도에 거주하는 만 18세부터 37세까지의 대학생 및 대학원생 314명을 대상으로 다차원적 완 벽주의 척도(FMPS), 성취관련 자기 불일치 척도(ASDS), 속박감 척도(ES), 우울 척도(CES-D), 불 안 척도(BAI)로 구성된 자기보고식 설문을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 부적응적 완벽주의와 부정 적 정서(우울/불안) 간의 관계에서 성취관련 자기 불일치와 속박감이 매개효과를 보이는 것으 로 나타났으며, 부적응적 완벽주의는 매개변인들을 통해서 부정적 정서(우울/불안)에 간접적 으로만 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 부적응적 완벽주의가 부정적 정서(우울/불안)를 야기하는 과정에서 성취관련 자기 불일치와 속박감의 매개적 역할이 매우 중요함을 시사한다. 마지막으로 본 연구가 지니는 의의와 한계점에 대해서 논의하였다.

The present study aimed to examine the mediating role of achievement self discrepancy and entrapment between maladaptive perfectionism and negative emotions(depression/anxiety). For this purpose, 314 undergraduate and graduate students were asked to complete self-report questionnaires: FMPS (Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale), ASDS(Achievement Self-Discrepancy Scale), ES(Entrapment Scale), CES-D(The Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale), BAI(Beck Anxiety Inventory). The results showed that achievement self discrepancy and entrapment mediated the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and negative emotions. These results suggested that the intervention for negative emotions of the maladaptive perfectionist should be focused on the mediating variables such as achievement self discrepancy and entrapment. Lastly, clinical implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
