디지털 이미지의 저작권에서 저작권자는 본인의 창작물에 대한 저작권을 보호하고, 저작권법의 정확한 이해를 통한 개선 방안이 필요하며, 또한 저작권의 개념 정립을 기반으로 한 저작권자의 권리와 이용자들의 권한의 효율성을 향상시키는 방안을 연구하였다. 우선, 연구의 범위를 동일성 범위의 인정에 대한 사례와 디지털 이미지의 저작권법에 관한 판례를 중심으로 하여, 이용자의 용도에 적합한 이미지 저작권 분류체계를 기반으로 한 이미지 저작물의 등록 절차와 이미지 저작물의 활용 방안에 대해 제시하고자 한다.
