드론을 이용하여 네트워크 공격을 시도하는 연구는 이전에도 많이 있었지만, 네트워크를 방어하는 연구는 상대적으로 많지 않았다. 이 논문에서 우리는 드론과 라즈베리 파이를 이용하여 무선 네트워크를 모니터링할 수 있는 디텍트론을 제안한다. 디텍트론은 무선 네트워크 상에서 WaidPS와 Wi-Fi Harvesting Module이라는 툴을 이용하여이블트윈 공격, 브루트포스 공격 같은 비정상적인 네트워크 트래픽과 사설 AP를 감지할 수 있으며, 이 결과를 관리자에게 알려줄 수 있다. 또한 드론은 사람보다 이동성이 좋기 때문에, 점검자가 직접 무선 네트워크를 찾아다니면서점검을 하지 않아도 되며, 이로 인해 시간적·비용적 측면에서 이득을 볼 수 있다. 우리는 디텍트론을 직접 구현하였고, 실험을 통하여 넓은 범위의 네트워크를 드론 하나로 모니터링 할 수 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

There has been a lot of research that attempted to do network attacks using drones, but there are relatively few studies to defend networks. In this paper, we propose Detectron, which can monitor on wireless network by using a drones with raspberry pi. Detectron can use WaidPS and Wi-Fi Harvesting Module to detect an anomaly network traffic like Evil-Twin attack and Brute Force attack, and Unauthorized AP on wireless network, and then can notify to administrators. Also, because Detectron has better mobility than person, inspector do not need to move to inspect the access point, accordingly we can get a benefit from both in terms of time and cost. We have implemented Detectron and we have been able to verify that a wide area of networks can be monitored with a single drone through experiments.
