미국 및 EU 같이 항공 산업이 발달된 국가들은 IT 융합기술을 통합한 자체적인 자동수화물위탁시스템(SBD system)을 개발하고 상용화하여 세계시장을 지배하고 있다. 특히 네덜란드의 경우에는 자동수화물위탁시스템의 대부 분을 자국에서 개발하고 있다. 따라서 국제공항은 자동수화물위탁시스템을 도입하고 공항 및 항공사들에 최적화된 자동수화물위탁시스템을 적용하고 관리하는 것은 반드시 필요한 과제이다. 본 연구는 선진 국제공항들에서 자동수화 물위탁시스템이 어떻게 적용되고 활용되는지를 분석함으로써, 미래에 한국 공항에서 자동수화물위탁시스템의 적용 가능성을 고찰하고자 하는 목적을 지닌다.

Advanced countries in the aviation industry, especially the United States and European Union, dominating the international market by developing and commercializing their own SBD systems integrated with IT convergence technology, Nevertheless, most of SBD technologies in domestic airports rely on their countries. It is imperative that internal airport operators introduce the Self Bag Drop-off systems and produce, apply, and manage the most optimized SBD system for airports and airlines. Upon analyzing the adoption and operation of the SBD systems utilized in leading international airports, this study is conducted to address the possibility of the future implementation of SBD systems in domestic airports in Korea.
