이 연구는 육상 투척경기 지도자와 국가대표선수들을 대상으로 심층면접을 통하여, 우리나라 투척경기의 문제 점을 집중적으로 조명하고, 그 해결방안을 제시하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2016년 2월부터 3월에 걸쳐 지도자 3명, 선수 3명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였으며, 1) 선수수급과 선발의 문제 2) 전문지도자의 부재 3) 전문적인 훈 련체계의 문제를 중심으로 결과를 도출하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 선수수급과 선발 과정에 있어서 지도자 가 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 투척 선수들의 입문과정은 대부분 체육선생님의 권유로 시작하는 경우이 며, 훈련장의 제약을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전문지도자의 적은 보수와 단기간의 계약으로 불합리적인 여건 속에 지도하는 것으로 나타났으며, 국내의 대부분 전문지도자들의 지도방법에 있어 문제점이 많다고 나타났다. 셋째, 국내의 체계는 아직 양질의 훈련을 받을 수 있는 현실적인 방안이 부족하다고 나타났으며, 현재 국내는 생활체육에 대한 국가 정책이 전환되면서 학교운동부나 실업팀 등이 급격히 해체되는 등 엘리트 체육의 기반이 흔들리고 있다고 나타났다.

This research conducted a survey of leaders with plenty coaching experiences for throwing athletes and members of the national team with experiences for studying abroad. The purpose of the study is to thoroughly investigate upon the problem of throwing mechanism through inadept interviews and ultimately proposing a solution. Inadept interviews were conducted with three coaches and three players during February and March 2016. Each interview was recorded on both note and audio, and all recorded information is transferred into text data. We derived result based on three main problems: 1)supply and demand of player and draft, 2)lack of professional 1)coach, 3)professional training system. The results are as follows. First of all, coach is facing a lot of difficulties with supply and demand of player and draft. Majority of throwing. Athletes start their career due to the advice of teachers and they face training constraints. Secondly, professional coach work under unreasonable condition due to short contract and low wage, and domestic coaches have several problems in their instruction methods. Last of all, domestic system lacks practical measures for high quality training. As the change in current domestic policies of leisure sports, countless school sport and business teams are rapidly being dismantled resulting in a damage in our elite sport foundation.
