『석보상절』의 권차 배치와 『월인석보』의 권차 배치는 서로 다른데, 그 중에서도 『석보상절』 권11의 주 요 내용이 『월인석보』에서는 권21에 배치된 것이 두드러진 특징이다. 그런데 이렇게 된 결정적인 이유는 『 석보상절』 권11에서 부처님의 열반에 대해 암시하는 부분이 표현되기 때문이다. 『석보상절』이나 『월인석 보』는 부처님의 일대기를 다룬 문헌이므로 ‘부처님의 열반’은 비교적 후반부에 나와야 할 내용이다. 그런데 부처님의 열반을 강력히 암시하고 있는 부분이 전체 24권인 『석보상절』에서 권11에 배치되었기 때문에 전 체 25권인『월인석보』에서는 비교적 뒷부분인 권21에 배치하게 되었다. 또한 『석보상절』은 간경도감 언해본에 비해 의역이 많은 문헌으로 인식하여 왔고, 『월인석보』는 『석보 상절』보다는 직역에 가깝지만 간경도감 언해본들보다는 다소 의역되었다고 인식해 왔다. 그런데 『석보상절 』과 󰡔월인석보󰡕를 절략 양상의 관점에서도 규정할 수 있다. 절략의 정도는 게재율 즉 저본의 내용을 얼마 나 충실하게 게재하였는지에 대한 비율을 비교함으로써 밝힐 수 있다. 『석보상절』 권11의 게재율은 49%, 『월인석보』 권21의 게재율은 97%이다. 『석보상절』 권11이 『석보상절』을 대표하고, 『월인석보』 권21 이 『월인석보』를 대표한다고 가정하고 간경도감 언해본의 게재율을 100%라고 가정하면 『석보상절』, 『 월인석보』, 간경도감본 언해본의 게재율은 각각 49>97>*100%로 나타낼 수 있다.

The aim of this paper is to investigate a characteristics of between SeokBoSangJeol (釋譜詳節) and WolInSeokBo(月印釋譜) through doing a survey of in what proportion their texts were translated from the original texts. SeokBoSangJeol is the first translated prose literature after invention of HunMinJeongEum(訓民正音). WolInSeokBo is a literature which has Wolincheonganjigok (月印千江之曲) as a main text and SeokBoSangJeol as an explanatory note. Generally speaking, we can say that SeokBoSangJeol is a liberal, WolInSeokBo is a slightly literal, the translated literatures published in Gankyeongdogam(刊經都監), are the very literal translation. We can, by the way, find out a characteristics between SeokBoSangJeol and WolInSeokBo through investigating their abridged proportion form their original texts. The printed ratio of SeokBoSangJeol vol. 11th is 49%, whereas that of WolInSeokBo vol 21st is 97%. If we assume that each SeokBoSangJeol vol. 11th and WolInSeokBo vol 21st represents the complete SeokBoSangJeol and WolInSeokBo and if we assume the printed ratio of the TLPKs is 100%, we can display their abridged proportion as belows; SeokBoSangJeol 49>WolInSeokBo 97>TLPKs *100%
