연구는 실과 기술 영역의 교육과정안 구성 방안을 제안하여 차기 교육과정 개정에 대비한 논의의 장을 마련하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 실과 교육과정의 기술 영역 관련 목표 진술 및 내용 체계의 변천을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 교육과정안의 개발 방향을 모색하였다. 또한 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 실과 교 육과정의 기술 영역 관련 내용과 성취기준의 타당도를 확인하였다. 이 연구에서는 실과 기술 영역 교육과정안을 다음과 같이 제안하였다. 첫째, 교육과정 개발 방향으로서 ‘1) 산업에서 기술로, 2) 제작(Poiesis)에서 실천(Praxis)으로, 3) 좁은 의미의 유용성에서 넓은 의미의 유용성으로’를 설정하였다. 둘째, 실과 기술 영역의 목표로서 ‘1) 기술 소양을 함양하고 기술 활용 능력을 기른다, 2) 기술과 관련되는 문제를 창의적으로 해결한다, 3) 창의적으로 생각하는 습관을 기르고, 새로운 것을 창조하는 과정을 즐긴다.’를 설정하 였다. 셋째, 실과 기술 영역의 내용 체계를 ‘내용 중심 접근을 취할 것인가, 과정 중심 접근을 취할 것인가’와 ‘5-6학년 계열성을 더 강조할 것인가, 초-중등 계열성을 더 강조할 것인가’에 따라 1) 5-6학년 계열성을 강조한 내용 중심 접근, 2) 초ㆍ중등 계열성을 강조한 내용 중심 접근, 3) 5-6학년 계열성을 강조한 과정 중심 접근, 4) 초ㆍ중등 계열 성을 강조한 과정 중심 접근과 같은 네 개의 안을 제안하였다.

This study was carried out to propose the technology-field curriculum in practical arts. To accomplish this purpose the change of the goals and contents of technology-field curriculum in practical arts were reviewed and the validity of achievement standards and contents of 2009 revised curriculum were verified. The technology-field curriculum in practical arts which proposed in this study was as follows:First, the directions of curriculum development were proposed as ‘from industry to technology’, ‘from poiesis to praxis’ , and ‘from utility in the narrow sense to utility in the wide sense.’Second, the goals of technology-field curriculum in practical arts were proposed as ‘cultivation technological literacy and technological application ability’, ‘creative problem solving technology-related problem’, and ‘training creative thinking habit and enjoying creative process.’Third, content structures of technology-field curriculum in practical arts were proposed as ‘sequence of 5th and 6th grade-content based approach’, ‘sequence of elementary and middle school-content based approach’, ‘sequence of 5th and 6th grade-process based approach’ and ‘sequence of elementary and middle school-process based approach.’
