The purpose of this paper is the investigation on the size effect in reinforced concrete (RC) beams with recycled aggregates. The variables related to shear behavior of RC beams are shear span-to-depth ratio (a/d), depth- to-width ratio (h/b), longitudinal reinforcement ratio (p) and so on. Among the many variables affecting shear behavior, depth-to-width ratio (h/b =1.0, 2.0, 3.0) is selected for the study. A total of three specimens were tested with a simply supported beam subjected to two-point load. In this case, there is no shear reinforcement (i.e., stirrups) for inducing shear failure. Ultimate shear strength was determined by the severe shear cracks. Moreover shear strength is decreased when depth-to- width ratio is increased.
