The purpose of this study was to analyse Jeonju old town and find a way to rehabilitise it. Jeonju is one of the oldest cities in the country and have a lot of historical place which have a meaning in people’s memory. However, during the urban sprawl with a development, old town is losing its good character of place. In this paper, the current situation and problem is analysed with a few theories such as figure-ground theory, linkage theory and place theory. On the basis of these analysis, Jeonju university’s urban renewal studio designed urban rehabilitation works and made clusters with them. Each clusters have 3 types of projects which are working as a heart, a linear pedestrian path and a destination. In addition, each clusters can be connected each other for the approach of wholistic rehabilitation although each projects is limited to the defined lot.
