The purpose of this study is to investigate how IT facilitates the strategic agility of business organization and ends up with creating competitive activities. Based on resource-based view, previous studies argued that IT resources have a potential to gain excellent performances, and firms try to enhance their agility by developing IT resources. In order to examine which of IT resources are ready for changes and respond to them, we develop a research model on causations among IT capabilities (including managerial and technical capability), IT-dependent organizational agility (including information, system and strategic agility), and its outcomes. Our cross-sectional analysis on data collected from 201 firms showed positive and significant relations of all hypotheses but effects of technical capability on IT-dependent information agility.
