최근 기업 간 공급사슬의 통합은 기업의 중요한 프로세스로 볼 수 있다. 이는 기업간 개별 경쟁에서 공급사슬 경쟁으로 넘어가는 과도기적 환경에서 특히 중요한 이슈라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기업이 보유한 혁신역량과 공급사슬 외부통합 간의 관계, 공급사슬 외부통합과 기업성과 간의 관계를 미국기업들을 대상으로 실증 분석하였다. 연구결과 혁신역량인 조직역량과 전략역량은 각각 공급사슬 외부통합인 정보통합과 전략통합에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또, 공급사슬 외부통합인 정보통합과 전략통합은 기업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

These days, Supply chain integration is considered an important process of companies. It is an particular issue in traditional environment changes in the supply chain competition. The results of this study showed that Organization capability, strategic capability in innovation capabilities had a positive impact on information integration and strategic integration in supply chain external integration which influenced management performance in a positive direction.
