While developing, inheriting, and maintaining the traditional values of the ‘hanok’, The research of the ‘hanok’ reflected the lifestyle and consciousness of the dwellers is needed. A study on the characteristics of New Hanok plan of Gyeongnam province through the Housing Conditions research. In this study, Research subjects were categorized according to plan type; '-shape with single bay plan', 'ㄱshape with single bay plan', 'ㅁshape with double bay plan', and 'ㄱshape with double bay plan'. This research shows character of 'Honok' by type. It will be used to the inheritance and development of 'Hanok' as important material.
