Research trends of academic circles related to tennis athletic performance were examined by conducting analysis on the dissertations related to tennis athletic performance published in the country’s journals, collections of university dissertations, and collections of researches from 2000 to 2012 in terms of current conditions of publications by year, connected subject matters, research designs, and criteria of objects of education. Based on the results of this research, the following conclusion was obtained. The contents related to tennis athletic performance clearly showed the efforts made by the researchers on diverse aspects of tennis events. However, the results of examining the preceding researches in terms of the level of athletic performance showed that the degree of utilizing the information of the researches that have been conducted up to now was relatively low, so the conclusion can be drawn that there have been not only problems with but also vitalizing our country’s level of athletic performance. This shows that paradoxically there are many aspects for the researchers related to tennis to approach from the aspect of enhancing athletic performance, so the conclusion is that researchers henceforth should have continuous interest in this matter and approach it with diverse subject matters.
