Relationship among Learned Helplessness, Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Gender Role Identity in Sport/Physical Education-Related and Dance-Related Departments Female University Students
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among Learned Helplessness, Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Gender Role Identity in Sport/Physical Education-Related and Dance-Related Departments Female University Students. The data for the study were collected through questionnaire self-administered by 229 and analyzed by independent t-test and multiple regression analysis in SPSS 19.0. The results were as follows; First, the dance-related had higher scores on the gender role identity and the decision-making self-efficacy, but not on the learned helplessness. Second, sport/physical-education related had lower score on the learned helplessness as masculinity became high whereas dance-related had no significant differences. Third, sport/physical education-related had higher score on the decision-making self-efficacy whereas dance-related had lower score on that as masculinity became high.
