Lyrical jazz is the name for a genre of Jazz dance used around the world including the base of Jazz dance. But since there is no accurate definition or concept on this Lyrical jazz and are only books and magazine articles briefly introducing Lyrical jazz and moreover, the classification with ballet or modern dance which affected Lyrical jazz is ambiguous, definition for Lyrical jazz is required. Only the term is used without exact description or definition. Therefore, this study attempts to define Lyrical jazz through Delphi method by selecting 17 jazz dance experts. The factors that make Lyrical jazz dance were ballet technic, jazz dance technic, Lyric, expressiveness of the dancers. This is expected to be useful material for jazz dance by trying definition for Lyrical jazz, the term frequently used based on thought and philosophy of jazz dance experts.
