The purpose of this study was to compare recognition in accordance with personal characteristics on physical environments in fitness clubs. To make the goal, the study selected its population to 350 members over 19 years old followed by choosing six fitness clubs, Gwangju city. The study used 327 questionaries as its final effective samples except 23 unreliable ones, and uses them to the analysis. For the data processing, the study carries out a frequency analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA by SPSSWIN Ver 18.0. The results are as follows. First, the result shows that gender makes no meaningful difference in the recognition difference of physical environments. Second, the result shows that age makes a meaningful difference on collaboration environment in the recognition difference of physical environments. Third, the result shows that monthly income makes a meaningful difference on collaboration environment, signal and symbol, and space arrangement in the recognition difference of physical environments. Fourth, the result shows that using-period makes a meaningful difference on collaboration environment, signal and symbol, and space arrangement in the recognition difference of physical environments. Finally, the result shows that using-time makes a meaningful difference on collaboration environment, signal and symbol, and space arrangement in the recognition difference of physical environments.
