알베르트 고메즈는 르 꼬르뷔제의 오픈 핸드는 자연과 인간 그리고 건축이 하나가 되는 일련의 과정이라고 언급하면서, 오픈 핸드를 통한 꼬르뷔제의 건축 작업이 지니는 의미에 대해서 서술하였다. 또한 꼬르뷔제는 오픈 핸드를 정의함에 있어, 그것은 인류 콘텐츠에 깊게 스며있는 유연한 제스처라고 하면서, 그 속에 내재되어 있는 상징은 모든 것이 대지로부터 해방되고 독립된 것이라고 하였다. 본 연구는 오픈 핸드는 먼저 직각의 시에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통하여 꼬르뷔제가 강조하였던 통합의 예술 즉, 미술과 연계된 건축의 은유적 재현에 대해서 탐구할 것이다. 이 과정에서 직각의 시는 각각의 도상이 개별적인 것으로 이해되는 것이 아니며, 도상에 내재된 질서와 상징을 통한 은유의 재현을 서술할 것이다. 그리고 오픈 핸드의 개념적 특징인 질서와 상징이 꼬르뷔제의 후기 작품 중 대표작인 롱샹 성당과 라뚜레트 수도원의 형태 구축을 함에 있어 시적 은유는 어떠한 방식으로 적용되었는지에 대해서 진행할 것이다.

Albert Gomez argues that "Open Hand" of Le Corbusier is related to some course integrated nature, human, and architecture, and is represented in the meaning of Le Corbusier's architectural work. In this sense, the open hand represents a personal gesture of a more complex type: one is literally the artist’s own hand; the other is a latent self portrait image of the artist as the raven which manifests itself through rotation of the sculptural image. First, this study seeks the metaphorical representation of architecture connected to art - the integrated art emphasized by Le Corbusier- through the theoretical considerations for The Poem of the Right Angle(Le Poeme L'Angle Droit). Second, the author states the metaphorical representation based on orders and symbols of icons represented in the Poem of the Right Angle (Le Poeme L'Angle Droit). Finally, this study shows how Le Corbusier applied the poetic metaphor using conceptual features for Open Hand to Ronchamp Chapel(Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut de Roncham) and Monastery of Sainte-Marie de La Tourette(Le Couvent de La Tourette).
