The purpose of this study is to inquire into the effect of Humboldt's thought of language on the idealogy of modern Japanese language. Ueda who completed the idealogy of modern Japanese language said that language is the expression of thought and emotion in the mind of person who uses that language and it inscribes the spirit of a nation. His thought is reflected in Humboldt's thought of language(Weltansicht). In order to draw a moment of identity in the language he accepted Humbodt's thought of language organism. Therefore the ideology of modern Japanese language is completed by Ueda who accepted Humboldt's thought of language.
