This paper aims to analyse how symmetric can English subject postposing construction be. Subject postposing, which Quirk et al (1972, 1986) present as an instance of Inversion, namely, Subject-Verb Inversion (henceafter SVI) phenomena, is discussed in Huddleston & Pullum (2002), where they present an argument that subject postposing is different from SVI. The following set of data shows the subject postposing as opposed to Subject-Auxiliary Inversion.
