The purpose of this paper is to examine whether adverbial adjuncts can scramble, as other arguments do. In order to argue for this, I will suggest that adjunct scrambling should obey the adjunct scope constraint condition and that since adverbial adjuncts keep their hierarchial order, adjunct scrambling should also be ruled-in Relativized Minimality. The so-called -ka/-(n)un or -ga/-wa asymmetry will be examined as well. To combine this asymmetry into our suggested framework, we propose that there are two types of scrambling: the proper scrambling and the topicalized scrambling.
