본 논문에서는 디지털 매체의 저작권 보호하기 위해 비밀정보 분할(secret sharing) 방식를 적용하여 보다 효율적인 워터마크를 추출하는 기법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 원 영상을 DCT 변환한 후 주파수 영역에 (n,k)() 비밀정보 분할 방식을 적용하여, 생성된 원 마크의 n개의 정보를 삽입하고, 추출시 마크의 n개의 정보들 중 k개만의 정보를 추출하여 마크를 복원할 수 있다.

This paper proposes a method which inserts watermark created by secret sharing method and then extracts it from watermarked image for the protection of copyrights of digital images. To do this, after image's DCT transform, once some values created by Key sharing method which used Lagrange interpolation are inserted into a frequency domain, one can recreate original watermark even if only k seeds are extracted among n of inserted seeds ().
